This page is not for the faint of heart... It is where I will share stories of our rescues. Some will make you laugh, some will make you cry, some will make you curse the human race, & some will just absolutely amaze you. Sometimes we don't win, sometimes dogs or cats die before I get there. Sometimes there is no happy ending, but sometimes there is. I have days where I would rather be set on fire instead of checking my email or answering my phone, & it is inevitable that as soon as someone finds out my address I find a dog tied to my front porch, or a mother with a litter of newborns, some already dead. It is the joys, the "wins" & the gratitude only a rescued animal can show you that keeps me going, it is the occasional donation from out of nowhere, the adopter that shows up & turns out to be the perfect home for the 1 eyed, 2 legged dog that I thought would never find someone to love them. So as you go through my stories please remember that it is not me that makes this possible, it is the undying spirit of love & forgiveness & the bravery of these animals that make all of this possible, it is the people who will love them when no one else will that make it possible for me to do what I do. I am no hero, I am one person trying to make a difference but without people like you I could not do much, it's like that with being a human. None of the stories are in order, I will write as a story comes to mind, sometimes I will change names or locations to protect a person or animals but the story will be true. Some I wish were only the horrid imaginings of some bad dream, some I am just honored & awed to have ever been a part of...
